President Truong Tan Sang on February 11 (the 2nd day of the 2013Lunar New Year) visited workers in Ben Cat District, Binh Duong, whocould not go home for the Tet holiday.
Visiting theworkers’ boarding-houses, Sang attentively asked after their health, aswell as their job, life and income. He also inquired about theactivities that trade unions have done to protect the workers’legitimate interests.
Earlier, the President alsovisited and extended New Year greetings to workers at FrieslandCampinaVietnam, a joint-venture between Vietnam and Holland, in thesouthern province of Binh Duong.
DeputyGeneral Director Tran Quoc Huan briefed Sang on the company’sdevelopment over the last 16 years, and stressed that his company hascreated jobs for around 15,000 people, including both direct andindirect labourers.
Sang appreciated the effortsmade by the company’s leaders and workers. He hoped the company wouldcontinue to care for its workers, and that the workers would do theirbest to contribute to the company’s success.
