The Judicial Committee of the National Assembly convened a plenary meeting in Hanoi on September 12 to hear and give comments on a Government report on the prevention of law violations in 2014.

Participants are scheduled to hear reports by the heads of the Supreme People’s Court and Supreme People’s Procuracy on their sectors’ 2014 working missions and another by the Government on the year’s enforcement of judgments.

Over the past time, thanks to the Government’s resolute instruction, ministries, sectors and localities have joined hands in the prevention of law violations, contributing to reducing the number of crimes and serving the country’s socio-economic and cultural development and foreign relations.

To raise the efficiency of the work, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong stressed the need to enhance law building to strengthen State management on socio-economic, security and order affairs.

Relevant agencies should speed up the issuance and amendment of legal documents in order to create a necessary and full legal foundation for corruption prevention while increasing the supervision of major sectors to promptly detect violations, he said.
