Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on August 7 received outgoing Cuban Ambassador Fredesman Turro Gonzalez, who has pledged to further contribute to the cooperative and friendship relations between Cuba and Vietnam in any position he may hold in the future.
PM Dung spoke highly of the Cuban diplomat’s contributions to boosting the multifaceted ties between the two countries, and affirmed that bilateral cooperation in all areas has produced positive results, benefiting the development of both countries.
He suggested the two countries increase cooperation in economy, trade and investment, asking Cuba to support Vietnamese enterprises’ bid to seek opportunities in the Latin America country, particularly in the fields of telecommunication, agriculture and infrastructure construction.
Cuba and Vietnam should continue to support each other in the regional and international forums, he added.
For his part, Gonzalez said there are still huge potentials in the cooperation relations between Vietnam and Cuba .
He asked Vietnam to share with Cuba its experience in socio-economic management, construction and development.-VNA
