Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has reaffirmed Vietnamese government’s support for Palestine in its process of solving conflict through peaceful negotiations.

PM Dung received visiting Minister of National Economy of the State of Palestine Hassan Abu Libdeh in Hanoi on September 21.

He said that the two countries have established fine traditional ties and the Vietnamese government and people’s wish is to develop their bilateral ties with Palestine in a more practical and effective manner to benefit both sides.

PM Dung welcomed the Palestinian minister’s working visit and expressed his hope that this visit would contribute to materialising cooperation agreements, especially in economy, trade and investment.

He confirmed support for a plan to establish a cooperative committee to spur bilateral trade and investment cooperation and said Vietnam welcomed Palestinian businesspeople who came to seek investment opportunities.

The Vietnamese leader asked the visiting minister to discuss the early establishment of a joint business council with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Trade.

The Palestinian minister expressed wishes that the two countries would further bolster economic ties and promote bilateral trade.

The minister said his visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation, especially in the private sector.

He said he hoped the cooperative committee and business council would be established soon./.
