Supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City are applying many promotional programmes to products for children on the occasion of International Children’s Day (June 1).

According to Duong Thi Quynh Trang, director in charge of public relations and foreign affairs at the Big C supermarket chain, the supermarket is organising the biggest programme for children, including price cuts of 5-50 percent on more than 2,500 consumer products.

Children who come to the supermarket with their parents will be able to participate in activities like masquerading with masks, taking photos, making cakes, and watching magic performances.

Co.opmart has coordinated with major brand names to implement four promotional programmes with 4,000 products in the categories of toys, learning equipment, children’s clothing and household commodities.

As many as 1,000 nutritional products for kids from Nutifood, Vinamilk, Goldluck, Dutch Lady and Dumex are on sale at Co.opmart supermarkets.

Meanwhile, children in grade 1 to 6 with a good certificate of merit from the 2012-13 school year will receive free cinema tickets at South Saigon Lotte Mart.

Besides, many brand names like Pwinks Kids and FunnyLand toy shops are organising attractive preferential programmes for consumers.-VNA
