A progamme on subcontracting and partnership exchange of Vietnam (SPX Vietnam) was launched in Hanoi on May 11.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Hoang Van Dung said SPX Vietnam is expected to facilitate linkage between domestic manufacturers and suppliers and their clients, including large FDI companies and local businesses in mechanical engineering, rubber, plastics, electricity-electronics and energy and industrial services, where supporting industries play a very important role.
Representatives of the United Nations Industrial Development suggested Vietnam focus on raising the number of suppliers network and increasing their competitiveness.
SPX Vietnam was built by the VCCI under UNIDO’s technical assistance. Though the development of SPX Vietnam’s activities, UNIDO can provide technical assistance to the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment and its Foreign Investment Department in mapping out strategies and promoting investment./.
