The southern province of Ca Mau has been put 76 infirmaries intooperation since 2011 under a 14 million USD project on improvement ofmedical facilities in the locality.
Under the project, which theUnited States’ humanitarian organisation Atlantic Philanthropies funds 7million USD and the province contributes the remainder, all 101infirmaries with advanced equipment will be built and put into in theearly next year. These are expected to help improve the effectivenessand quality of the check-up and treatment in the locality.
Inaddition, the project contributes to performing the national targetprogramme on health and raising public awareness of preventing diseasesin the community.
The provincial Department of Health has paidattention to training professional skills for local medical workers. Allcommunal medical stations have doctor, nurse and midwife. The provincestrives to have two doctors in each station by 2015.-VNA
