Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister Asang Laoly received a delegation from Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security led by Permanent Deputy Minister Dang Van Hieu, on June 28 in Vientiane.
At the reception, Deputy Minister Hieu gave an account of the ongoing joint activities between Vietnam ’s Ministry of Public Security and Laos ’ Ministry of Security, especially activities to celebrate the 2012 Vietnam-Laos Year of Friendship and Solidarity, the 50 years of diplomatic ties and the 35 years since the two countries signed the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.
He said he hopes that Laos ’ leaders will continue to help the police forces in both countries fulfil their tasks.
For his part, Deputy PM Asang Laoly stated that the special friendship and cooperative relationship between the two Parties, States and peoples will be everlasting thanks to the determination shown by both countries.
He also suggested that both police forces continue to inform and educate the younger generations so they can understand the extent of the solidarity and relationship Vietnam and Laos share.-VNA
