More than 100 members of the public will be selected to take part in a workshop on “World Wide Views on Global Warming” (WWViews) to discuss climate change and responses to this global issue.

The workshop is being jointly held in Hanoi on Sept. 26 by the Hydrometeorology and Environment Institute from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Urban and Rural Solutions Company.

Similar events will also take place in more than 50 other countries.

At the workshop, citizens will be able to air their opinions on a range of issues such as climate change and it affects, long-term targets, the urgent measures needed to respond to climate change, the response to greenhouse gas emissions, technology transfers and the country’s ability to deal with climate change.

Their thoughts and opinions will be published on the WWViews website and sent to the Vietnamese delegates attending the forthcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, this December.

The workshop is part of the World Wide Views on Global Warming Project, initiated by the Danish Technology Council./.
