The mountainous Tuyen Hoa and Bo Trach districts will receive the biggest quantity of rice, at 209 and 200 tonnes each.
Distribution has been experiencing many difficulties due to geographical distances as the beneficiary districts spread over large areas, said Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, an official of the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
However, the Department will do its utmost to finish the relief plan before April 1, she noted.
Earlier this year, the Government also allocated 1,000 tonnes of rice for distribution among poor people in Quang Binh province in order to help them have a decent Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.-VNA
