The first phase of the Binh An roadside station was launched in Thang Binh district, the central province of Quang Nam on Jan. 26 with technical assistance from Japan.
The 15-billion VND roadside station, invested by Dai Viet Co. Ltd., includes an area for passengers and drivers to take a rest, a section to introduce local specialties and an area to provide first aid for passengers.
Addressing the launching ceremony, a representative of group of technical advisors, Japanese roadside station expert Fumio Kato, said Binh An station not only serves passengers but also helps develop regional economy.
The work is also a demonstration of the long-term friendship between Vietnam-Japan, he added.
Dai Viet Co. Ltd. plans to invest additional 18 billion VND for the second phase of the project to make Binh An roadside station a reliable destination for passengers.
The station is also expected to be a safe shelter for tourists and local people in case of floods and storms./.
