Typhoon Molave made landfall over central Vietnam brought gale-force winds along with persistent downpours to provinces between Quang Nam and Binh Dinh. Quang Ngai is one of the most affected provinces.

Ferocious wind rattled roofs and toppled trees. Main roads were littred by fallen electric posts, tree, and billboards. Rainfall over the region has been recorded at 300-500mm. Many areas have been experiencing power outages.

Thoudsands had been evacuated from their houses. At least one person was killed while trying to reinforce his house.

Provincial authorities had to shut down offices, factories and schools. After sweeping through coastal provinces in central Vietnam Typhoon Molave slowly weakened into a tropical depression./.
