Hanoi (VNA) – A quiz on Vietnam’s history and culture for high school students was launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU)’s Central Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training on December 20.

The “Proud of Vietnam” quiz, the fourth of its kind, aims to drum up students’ interest in exploring and studying national history and culture, inspire patriotism and national pride, and raise sense of responsibility among the young Vietnamese in constructing and safeguarding the nation.

Questions focus on cultures of localities and ethnic groups; history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, HCYU and the Vietnamese Students’ Association; life and career of late President Ho Chi Minh; the country’s 35 years of “Doi Moi” (Renewal); new policies on development of Vietnamese culture and people outlined in the 13th National Party Congress’ documents; and cultural development strategy towards 2030.

Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee Nguyen Minh Triet said since it debuted in 2015, the quiz has attracted over 300,000 participants who were students from high schools and centres for vocational training and continuing education across the country.

It will be available on tuhaovietnam.doanthanhnien.vn and mobile app “Thanh nien Viet Nam” (Vietnamese youth), with the national finale and award ceremony slated for March 26, 2022./.
