Railway sector restores successfully old coaches

The Saigon Railway Transportation Service and Mixed Trade Enterprise has restored successfully four old coaches and put them into operation at Da Lat Railway Station.

The four coaches were restored as the archetype of the steam locomotivetrain used to run on the Da Lat-Thap Cham route in the 1930s of thelast century with each coach accommodating 20 people.

The purpose of the restoration aims to serve tourists who come to DaLat to enjoy its landscape with pine hill, vegetable gardens and flowervalleys appearing after the mist.

Da Lat Railway Station was designed by two French architects calledMoncet and Reveron. It was built from 1932 to 1938 and was consideredthe most beautiful in Indochina at the time.

The number of tourists to Da Lat Railway Station is increasing rapidly, reaching an annual 30 percent growth./.

Rare green sea turtle released back into the wild in Quang Tri

The green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), locally known as vich, is a rare and protected species under Vietnamese law.
