The Saigon Railway Transportation Service and Mixed Trade Enterprise has restored successfully four old coaches and put them into operation at Da Lat Railway Station.

The four coaches were restored as the archetype of the steam locomotive train used to run on the Da Lat-Thap Cham route in the 1930s of the last century with each coach accommodating 20 people.

The purpose of the restoration aims to serve tourists who come to Da Lat to enjoy its landscape with pine hill, vegetable gardens and flower valleys appearing after the mist.

Da Lat Railway Station was designed by two French architects called Moncet and Reveron. It was built from 1932 to 1938 and was considered the most beautiful in Indochina at the time.

The number of tourists to Da Lat Railway Station is increasing rapidly, reaching an annual 30 percent growth./.
