A workshop on community-based disaster preparedness, opened in Ca Mau province on January 6 for members of staff of Red Cross societies in the central and southern localities.
The workshop aims to increase the capacity of Red Cross staff to assess disasters and potential vulnerabilities as well as initiating community-based responses.
Participants at the week-long workshop will also discuss the impacts of natural disasters on people’s lives and their health as well as analysing risks and how to draw up plans to mitigate risks./.
