Reference exchange rate adjusted down on December 11

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,253 VND/USD on December 11, down 5 VND from December 10.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,253 VND/USD on December 11, down 5 VND from December 10.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,466 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,040 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw decreases.

At 8:27 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,165 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,465 VND/USD, both down 5 VND from December 10.

BIDV also cut both rates by 5 VND, posting the buying rate at 25,165 and the selling rate at 25,465./.
