Hanoi (VNA) – The reference exchange rate on October 7 was set at 21,980 VND for one USD, up 9 VND from the day before, showing a rise of 32 VND in total in four consecutive days.

With the current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is 22,639 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,321 VND per USD.

The rates listed by banks stood almost unchanged in the early opening hours.

Vietcombank’s buying rate was kept at 22,280 VND per USD, while the selling rate remained 22,370 VND as a day ago.

BIDV kept its rates unchanged at 22,270 VND/22,340 VND (buying/selling).

The listed rates at Eximbank were 22,255 – 22,335 VND/USD, the same as October 6.

Meanwhile, Techcombank adjusted down 10 VND in both its buying/selling rates from the day before, at 22,250 – 22,350 VND/USD.-VNA
