Hanoi (VNA) - The daily reference exchange rate on March 1 rose 10 VND compared to the previous day at 22,473 VND/USD as set by the State Bank of Vietnam.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,146 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,802 VND/USD.

An upturn was seen in the rates listed by major commercial banks.

At the beginning of the day, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,725 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,795 VND/USD, up 10 VND from February 28.

Meanwhile, BIDV’s buying rate was 22,720 VND/USD and selling rate was 22,790 VND/USD, 5 VND higher than the previous day.

However, the rates listed at Vietinbank reduced 36 VND compared to the previous day at 22,676 VND/USD (buying) and 22,746 VND/USD (selling).-VNA
