Reference exchange rate down 13 VND at week’s beginning
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,125 VND/USD on January 10, down 13 VND from the last working day of previous week (January 7).

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the
daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,125 VND/USD on January
10, down 13 VND from the last working day of previous week (January 7). With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,818 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,431 VND/USD.
The opening-hour rates at commercial banks decreased.
At 8:20 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,540 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,850 VND/USD, unchanged from January 7.
BIDV reduced both rates by 25 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,550 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,830 VND/USD.
During the previous week from January 4-7, the daily reference exchange rate fluctuated variably, and ended the week up 4 VND from the rate on January 4, the first working day after the New Year holiday./.
