With the current trading band of /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied for commercial banks on the day is 22,785 VND and the floor rate, 21,457 VND per USD.
The opening-hour rates listed at commercial banks saw increases.
Vietcombank raised its buying and selling rates by 70 VND to 22,600 VND and 22,680 VND for one USD compared to the December 12 rates.
The buying rate was listed by BIDV at 22,610 VND and the selling rate at 22,690 VND for one USD, both up 80 VND.
At Eximbank, the buying rate was listed at 22,580 VND and the selling rate at 22,680 VND per USD, both up 70 VND.-VNA
