Reference exchange rate drops 6 VND on October 5

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,417 VND/USD on October 5, down 6 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank ofVietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,417VND/USD on October 5, down 6 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, theceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 24,119 VND/USDand the floor rate 22,714 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates at many commercial banks stayedstable.

At 8:27 am, BIDV listed the buying rate at 23,750VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,030 VND/USD, both unchanged from the end of October4.

Vietcombank also kept both rates unchanged at 23,720VND/USD (buying) and 24,030 VND/USD (selling)./.
