Reference exchange rate for VND/USD declines by 1 VND
The reference exchange rate for Vietnamese dong against the US dollar was announced at 21,948 VND per USD for October 3 morning, down 1 VND from September 30.

With the current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is 22,606 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,290 VND per USD.
Commercial banks made slight changes to their listed USD price.
The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) posted buying and selling prices at 22,265 – 22,335 VND per US dollar the same morning, unchanged compared to the same time of September 30.
Rates were listed at 22,270 – 22,340 VND/USD by the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), both up 5 VND from September 30; and at 22,255 – 22,335 VND per USD by the Vietnam Import-Export Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank), unchanged compared to the same time of September 30.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) revised the buying/selling rates down by 5 VND and 10 VND from September 30. It listed the exchange rate 22,250 – 22,340 VND (buying/selling) per USD.-VNA
