Reference exchange rate goes up 7 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set its reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,391 VND/USD on May 30, up 7 VND from the day ago.

– The State Bank of Vietnam setits reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,391 VND/USD on May 30, up 7 VND fromthe day ago.

With the current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band,the ceiling exchange rate is 23,062 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,720VND per USD.

Major commercial banks saw light fluctuations in theirrates.

Vietcombank listed its buying rate at 22,690 VND/USDand its selling rate at 22,760 VND/USD, up 10 VND.

BIDV also offered its buying and selling rates at 22,685VND and 22,755 VND, up 5 VND.

Techcombank raised its buying rate by 10 VND to 22,670per USD and the selling rate by 20 VND to 22,780 VND per USD.-VNA
