Reference exchange rate kept unchanged
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,145 VND/USD on December 31, unchanged from the previous day.

Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,145 VND/USD on December 31,
unchanged from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,840 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,450 VND/USD.
The opening-hour rates at commercial banks continued to decrease.
At 8:30 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,610 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,920 VND/USD, both down 50 VND from December 30.
Similarly, BIDV also cut both rates by 50 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,630 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,010 VND/USD./.
