Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank adjusted the daily reference exchange rate down by 5 VND on September 20 after two consecutive days of going up, setting the rate at 22,705 VND/USD.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,385 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,025 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks rose compared to September 19.

Vietcombank increased both rates by 10 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,260 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,340 VND/USD.

At BIDV, the buying rate is being listed at 23,265 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,345 VND/USD, both up 15 VND from September 19.

Techcombank raised the buying rate by 20 VND to 23,240 VND/USD and the selling rate by 25 VND to 23,350 VND/USD.

The daily reference exchange rate opened this week unchanged from the last day of previous week but was on the rising trend for the next two days.-VNA
