Reference exchange rate revised down 6 VND
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,212 VND per USD on July 29, down 6 VND from the previous day.
Illustrative image (Photo: VNA)With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,908 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,515 VND/USD.
The rates listed at major commercial banks saw sharp decreases.
At 8:30 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,840 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,070 VND/USD, down 40 VND from July 28.
BIDV also cut both rates by 35 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,875 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,075 VND/USD./.
