Reference exchange rate revised up by 8 VND
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,177 VND per USD on June 29, up 8 VND from the previous day.
Illustrative image (Source: VNA)With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial bank during the day is 23,872 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,481 VND/USD.
The rates listed at major commercial banks saw increases.
At 8:20 am, the rates at Vietcombank stood at 22,890 VND/USD (buying) and 23,120 VND/USD (selling), both up 10 VND from June 28.
BIDV also added 10 VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 22,920 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,120 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, Vietinbank raised both rates by 15 VND, listing at 22,905 VND/USD (buying) and 23,125 VND/USD./.
