Reference exchange rate up 10 VND
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,221 VND/USD on August 30, up 10 VND from the previous day.
Illustrative image (Source: VNA)With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,917 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,525 VND/USD.
The opening-hour rates at many commercial banks saw increases.
Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,260 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,570 VND/USD, up 20 VND from August 29.
Meanwhile, BIDV raised both rates by 10 VND to 23,290 VND/USD (buying) and 23,570 VND/USD (selling)./.
