Reference exchange rate up 12 VND on December 29
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,154 VND/USD on December 29, up 12 VND from the previous day.
Illustrative image (Source: VNA)With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,849 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,459 VND/USD.
The opening-hour rates at commercial banks went up.
At 8:30 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,670 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,980 VND/USD, both up 20 VND from December 28.
BIDV also raised both rates by 20 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,690 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,990 VND/USD./.
