Reference exchange rate up 16 VND
The reference exchange rate for VND/USD was set at 22,180 VND per USD on January 19, up 16 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of /-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks on the day is 22,845 VND and the floor rate, 21,515 VND for one USD.
The opening hour rates at most commercial banks stayed unchanged from January 18.
At Vietcombank and BIDV, the buying rate was listed at 22,535 VND and the selling rate at 22,605 VND per USD, the same as the day before.
Eximbank kept its rates unchanged at 22,510 VND (buying) and 22,610 (selling).
Only Vietinbank reduced both its rates by 10 VND, to 22,525 VND (buying) and 22,595 (selling) per USD.-VNA
