Reference exchange rate up at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,253 VND/USD on November 4, up 11 VND from the last working day of the previous week.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,253 VND/USD on November 4, up 11 VND from the last working day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,466 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,040 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw increases.

At 8:31am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,125 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,465 VND/USD, up 31 VND and 11 VND, respectively, from November 1.

BIDV posted the buying rate at 25,115 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,465 VND/USD, up 10 VND and 11 VND, respectively./.
