Jordan regards Vietnam as key partner in Asia: House Speaker

The two sides agreed to intensify exchanges of delegations at all levels, establish and effectively operate bilateral cooperation mechanisms and frameworks, including moving towards establishing permanent representative offices in each other’s capitals, organising political consultation meetings, setting up a Vietnam-Jordan working group on business cooperation, and promoting the signing of important agreements on visa exemption, investment protection and the avoidance of double taxation.

Both sides expressed their pleasure at the recent talks between NA Chairman Tran Thanh Manh and Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Mazen Turki El Qadi, as well as the successful signing of the cooperation agreement between the two legislative bodies.

Building on 45 years of strong Vietnam–Jordan relations, an official visit to Vietnam from November 12-13 by King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is expected to mark a historic milestone in the bilateral relations, ushering in a new phase of partnership and creating a foundation for enhanced cooperation in areas of shared interest.
