Vietnam ’s Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son concluded his two day visit to Russia on Apr. 4, where he held a regular meeting with his Russian counterpart Igor Morgulov.
They reviewed Vietnamese-Russian ties over the years and discussed ways of bringing previous agreements signed by the leaders of both countries to fruition, to strengthen the Vietnamese-Russian strategic partnership even further.
In the future, both countries will exchange visits of senior officials, discuss economic issues and cooperation in trade, particularly in oil and gas and nuclear power.
The two deputy ministers also talked about ways of stepping up links between the two foreign ministries, as well as ensuring closer cooperation during regional and international forums, such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, the East Asia Summit (EAS), the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).
During his visit, Deputy Minister Son also met with Russian First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey I. Denisov and visited several Russian agencies.-VNA
