– The central province of Binh Thuan held on May 17 a burial service for remains of seven martyrs who laid down their lives during the resistance wars against French and US forces.

The ceremony took place at the provincial martyrs’ cemetery in Hong Son commune of Ham Thuan Bac district.

The remains were found in Phan Thiet city, La Gi town, and Ham Thuan Bac and Ham Thuan Nam districts since the beginning of this year. All of them remain unidentified.

Since the liberation of South Vietnam in 1975, more than 9,000 sets of remains of martyrs who died in Binh Thuan during the wars have been interred at the cemetery.

The provincial Military High Command is teaming up with relevant forces to search for over 1,000 others.-VNA
