Rescue centre built in Ly Son island
Construction of a rescue centre has been underway in the central coastal
Province of Quang Ngai ’s Ly Son island district aiming to serve
the rescue work in rainstorm reason and improve fishery logistics system
for the island, according to the colonel Bui Phu Phu, Deputy Chief
of the provincial Border Guard Command.

The 5,000 sq.m project covers modern technical infrastructure and equipments, including 2,300 HP rescue ships, to ensure successful rescue at sea even with wind speed of 8-9 level on the beaufort scale.
At present, the local authority is coordinating with relevant agencies to invest 424 billion VND in building berth for 500 fishing vessels and upgrading infrastructure and logistics system for fishery industry of the island.
The project is expected to be put into operation in 2012./.
