Rising wage for low-income civil servants
Civil servants, members of the armed forces and employees of
socio-political organisations with a salary grade at or below 2.34 on
the State salary scale enjoyed an 8 percent increase to their monthly
wage from January 1.

According to a recent Government decree, the additional wage would be calculated using the formula: salary grade x minimum wage (1,150,000 VND) x 8%.
The increased amount is not used to calculate payment of social, unemployment or health insurance nor for calculating allowances.
The decree will take effect as from April 1.-VNA
