This year’s event featured five rock bands including Buc Tuong (The Wall), Microwave, Parasite and Hac San, together with Stevans from Switzerland.
All proceeds from ticket sale worth more than 283 million VND (13,400 USD) were donated to Operation Smile Vietnam , the Vietnam Heart Fund of Vietnam Television (VTV) and a local fund for underprivileged students.
Earlier, “RockStorm 2014” presented live shows in Hai Phong, Hue , Da Nang , Bien Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City , attracting more than 60,000 fans and offering nearly 1.7 billion VND from selling tickets to charity organisations.
RockStorm, organised by Mobifone every year since 2008, is the biggest rock event in Vietnam .
Previously, at the 9th Music Devotion Award hosted by the Vietnam News Agency’s Newspaper of Sports and Culture, the festival won the award in the “ programme series of the year” category.
From 2011 to 2013, it donated more than 6 billion VND (285,000 USD) for charity funds.-VNA
