RoK bank helps expand vocational centre

The Hanoi Association for the Support of the Handicapped and Orphans opened a new extension to the Minh Tam Humanitarian Vocational Training Centre in Thach That district on April 25.

The addition to the centre funded by the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) to the tune of 160,000 USD (3.4 billion VND) was to mark the 20 th anniversary of Vietnam – RoK diplomatic ties.

The 910 sq.m expansion is divided into three main areas containing 14 rooms and equipment for vocational training purposes.

The project was sponsored by the IBK to the tune of 160,000 USD (3.4 billion VND).

The Minh Tam Centre runs 50 training classes for 1,500 people and has created stable jobs for 1,300 workers, 364 of them handicapped.

The new expansion will help to train handicapped people and orphans from Hanoi and neighbouring areas.-VNA
