RoK film festival hits capital

Fans of Republic of Korea (RoK) film will have a chance to be wowed by their favourite directors and get a little closer to their favourite stars at this year's RoK Film Festival.
Fans of Republic of Korea (RoK) film will have a chance to be wowed by their favourite directors and get a little closer to their favourite stars at this year's RoK Film Festival.

The festival, the second of its kind here, features nine popular movies from the RoK, including Killer Toon, Fist of Legend, Dancing Queen and A Werewolf Boy.

Lee Ki Woo, a popular RoK model who acts in the film Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, which has so far had two million internet downloads, and Vietnamese actress Ngo Thanh Van will appear at the festival as ambassadors. Lee is in the city from September 5to September 8.

The Pororo: The Racing Adventure film will be a bonus event organised by the We Are Filmmakers project, an off shoot from the Vietnam Cinema Association's Talent Development Programme.

The festival runs from September 6-11 and will be showing at Megastar Cinema Vincom Tower.
