The Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) and Can Tho city on Dec. 10 inked a document on the building of a technology incubator in this Mekong Delta city.

The project is part of earlier agreements signed between Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and the RoK’s Ministry of Knowledge Economy in March.

Work will begin on the technology incubator at Tra Noc 2 industrial zone in June next year. Construction is scheduled to complete in 2014 while trial operation will start in 2015.

The technology incubator aims to assist the development of farm and aquatic product processing, machinery manufacturing, biological technology, IT and communications, chemicals, clean technology and the ship building industry.-VNA
