The Republic of Korea has pledged to provide 2 million USD in non-refundable aid for making a feasibility study of a project to open an express bus service in Ho Chi Minh City.
The pledge is reflected in a memorandum of understanding signed by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Southern Sub-institute of Hydro-Meteorology and Environment on June 3.
The study covers detailed planning of bus lanes, stations and an automatic fare selling system.
According to RoK experts, the project only costs one tenth and takes one fifth of time for building a metro system./.
