A group of medical workers from the Republic of Korea’s Yeram Global Corps is offering free health check-ups and medicines to the poor in the central province of Binh Thuan from August 14-15.

An estimated 1,000 local residents, mostly ethnic minorities, the disabled, orphans and needy households, were also given acupuncture therapy and advices on how to keep them and their relatives healthy.

The activity, costing over 1 billion VND (500,000 USD), is a joint effort with Binh Thuan’s Relief Association for the Disabled and Orphans.

On the occasion, the group also donated 3 tonnes of rice to local poor people.-VNA
