Russia is willing to share with Vietnam its experiences in managing public assets and making related legal documents, Vice President of the State Duma’s Public Asset Committee Germanovich Medvedev said.

Medvedev, who is also President of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Group, was received by National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu in Hanoi on Dec. 14.

The Vietnamese NA official told his guest he was pleased to see the traditional friendship, multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia being strengthened and deepened for the sake of their people.

He described the organisation of a great number of events in political, diplomatic and cultural fronts to mark the 60 th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties as vivid manifestation of their friendship and cooperation.

Happy with strong outcomes in bilateral economic, scientific and technological ties, Luu, however, pointed out that the two countries’ two-way trade value, though increasing steadily year after year, remains below its potential and that Vietnam is striving to raise the value to 20 billion USD by 2020.

The Russian guest showed his admiration of Vietnam’s dynamic development and expressed his joy for being warmly welcomed in the country.

Noting the importance of energy in economic development, the Russian official said Russia is ready to cooperate and share its experiences with Vietnam in building nuclear power plants in the future./.
