Russian State Duma leader wraps up Vietnam visit

Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia Sergey Evgenievich Naryshkin left Hanoi on December 3, concluding his two-day official visit to Vietnam.

During his visit, theRussian State Duma Chairman held talks with National Assembly ChairmanNguyen Sinh Hung and met with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trongand Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

The leadersagreed to collaborate for peace and development in the world as well asfurther promote the parliamentarian ties and the comprehensive strategicpartnership between the two countries.

ChairmanNaryshkin confirmed that Russia appreciated its cooperation withVietnam in all fields from politics, foreign affairs and economics tooil and gas, atomic energy, and military techniques.

As head of the Russian association of history, Naryskin also signed aMemorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation in science with theVietnam Association of History.

National AssemblyChairman Nguyen Sinh Hung invited Naryshkin and Chairwoman of theFederation Council of Russia Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko to attend the132nd IPU General Assembly in Hanoi in March 2015.-VNA

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung’s official visit to Cambodia on October 9-10, at the invitation of Prime Minister Hun Manet, marks a particularly significant diplomatic milestone. It underscores the consistent priorities of Vietnam’s foreign policy in the new term, including proactive engagement, strengthened political trust and a stronger focus on translating bilateral commitments into tangible outcomes.

Prime Minister meets with Cambodian People's Party, Senate leader

To further advance bilateral ties in the new era, the two leaders agreed to continue making full use of existing cooperation mechanisms across all channels, including meetings between the two Parties, promote exchanges between young leaders and youth from both countries, and expand cooperation between their legislative, executive and judicial bodies, people’s organisations and localities.

Vietnam, Cambodia seek to bolster all-round ties

The two PMs expressed their satisfaction with the positive development of Vietnam-Cambodia relations in recent years. Political ties have continued to be consolidated, with political trust strengthened through regular high-level visits and contacts.

PM arrives in Phnom Penh, starting official visit to Cambodia

This is PM Hung’s first official visit to Cambodia. It holds particular significance, demonstrating the high priority that the Party, State and Government of Vietnam attach to relations with Cambodia and contributing to further deepening the bilateral ties of “good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability”.
