Da Nang (VNA) – Three Russian naval ships arrived at Tien Sa Port on January 6, beginning a four-day friendship visit to the central city of Da Nang.

The vessels, consisting of an oil tanker, a rescue ship and destroyer Bystry, are led by Rear Admiral Yuldashev Aleksandr Yurevich.

At Tien Sa Port, the Russian guests were welcomed by senior officers of the Ministry of National Defence and Naval Region 3, Da Nang officials and Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin Vasilievich Vnukov.

During their stay, Russian officers and sailors are set to lay a wreath at the local memorial to heroic war martyrs, and pay courtesy calls to the High Commands of Military Region 5 and Naval Region 3 and Da Nang People’s Committee.

They will also join in sports exchanges with their counterparts of the Naval Region 3 and visits famous destinations in the central region.-VNA
