objects of Sa Huynh ancient culture that flourished 2,000-3,000 years
ago opened in central Quang Ngai province on July 22.
The objects, being preserved by museums of Quang Ngai, Quang Nam and Binh Dinh provinces, where are believed to be the centre of the culture, include jars, working tools, weapons, tools for daily use made of stones, pottery, steel, germ stones and glass, and jewelry such as two-headed animal ear ornaments and beads.
Thirty typical images introducing the Sa Huynh culture’s characteristics are also on display at the 200 sq.m showroom.
The Sa Huynh culture is the name given to the urn field (jar burial) culture of the coastal plains in central and southern Viet Nam . Archaeological sites have been discovered from the Mekong Delta to just south of the Tonkin region.
