Saboteur of national unity policy arrested

While searching his home, the policeseized a number of documents with contents against the people’sadministration and dividing the great national unity.

Earlier, onApril 8, Gia Lai Police’s Investigation Agency issued a decision tostart legal proceedings against Nguyen Cong Chinh for the charge ofundermining the great national unity policy, pursuant to Article 87 ofthe Penal Code. Preliminarily, Chinh confessed to his criminal acts.

NguyenCong Chinh (alias Nguyen Thanh Long) was born in 1969 and is now aresident of Hoa Lu, in Pleiku city of Gia Lai province. Since 2003,Chinh has regularly granted interviews to foreign radio and newspapersand posted on the Internet contents to cause hostility, discriminationand sow divisions among all strata of people and the armed forces, thepeople’s administration, ethnic groups and religious followers.

Chinhhas joined Nguyen Van Ly, Nguyen Van Dai, Le Thi Cong Nhan, Tran KhaiThanh Thuy and others to oppose the people’s administration, disseminatedistorted information and incite and involve large-crowd complaints.

GiaLai Police’s Investigation Agency has handed over documents on Chinh’sactivities to Gia Lai Justice Department and the Ministry of PublicSecurity’s Criminal Science Institute for assessment.

Chinh madedocuments sowing divisions in the police force, local authorities andthe masses, driving a wedge between Vietnam and other countriesworldwide, with the aim of opposing the people’s administration and theState of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, they confirmed.

Chinhhas increased his activities against the people’s administrationdespite local authorities persuading, educating reminding him of hislegal violations on many occasions./.
