Over 3,000 tourists and crew members aboard the five-star cruise liner Celebrity Millennium on December 13 began their six-day trans-Vietnam tour as it docked at the Tan Cang Cai Mep port in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.


After docking, the holiday-makers will join tours to discover landscapes in Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City and My Tho, according to tour operator - t he Saigontourist Travel Services Company.


As part of the trans-Vietnam tour, the five-star cruise liner Celebrity Millennium will also bring visitors, mostly from from Canada, the US and Australia , to the ancient capital city of Hue, Hoi An ancient town, My Son heritage site, Ha Long Bay, Ha Noi and Hai Phong port city until December 18.


The 91,000-tonne vessel, one of the most luxury ships in the world, is expected to come back to Vietnam on December 24 in an opposite six-day journey from Ha Long Bay to Hue and Ho Chi Minh City .


In the past ten months of 2013, Vietnam received over 6.1 million overseas arrivals, up 10.4 percent against the same period last year.-VNA
