Saudi Arabia will invest in the expansion of the Vocational Junior College in the northern province of Ha Nam.

On September 16, the provincial People’s Committee met with an inspection team from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) to discuss the details of the project.

The project foresees the construction of nine new facilities, worth a total of 18.2 million USD, half of which will be provided by the SFD. It is expected to be completed in late 2017.

Abdullah Al-Shedokhi, head of the SFD inspection team, spoke highly of the preparations for the project and asked the People’s Committee to invite bids from three or more contractors for construction.

Mai Tien Dung, the committee’s chairman, pledged to provide the best conditions for the implementation of the project.

Once completed, it will train high-quality human resources for the province and other localities, thus reducing poverty and providing jobs for locals, he said.

He expressed his wish that in the coming time, the SFD will continue support for the province in other areas such as social security and poverty reduction.-VNA
